Full Summary

MSSQL Database Administrator & .NET Developer

We are seeking a hands‑on MSSQL Database Programmer/Administrator and .NET Web Application/API Developer who will take ownership of database architecture, performance tuning, and full‑stack .NET application development. This role requires deep SQL Server expertise paired with practical experience building maintainable ASP.NET apps and RESTful APIs.

On the database side, you will design and optimize T‑SQL stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and schemas, implement indexing and performance strategies, monitor server resource utilization, and resolve issues such as deadlocks and long‑running queries. You will also work on high‑availability configurations and ensure data integrity, security, and organizational compliance.

As a .NET developer you will maintain and extend ASP.NET applications (Web Forms, MVC, or .NET Core), build secure front‑end and back‑end components, and design and document RESTful APIs. You will integrate applications with SQL Server, perform code reviews, refactor and debug .NET code, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into stable, scalable solutions.

This is a full‑time, exempt position on the Software Development team with a hybrid work approach (in‑person once office space is available). The opportunity offers technical breadth across database administration, API design, and full‑stack .NET development, ideal for someone who enjoys both deep SQL performance work and hands‑on application engineering.

Must Haves

5+ years professional experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2022+)
Strong proficiency in T‑SQL, query optimization, and database architecture
Hands‑on experience with ASP.NET (Web Forms, MVC, or .NET Core)
Strong C# or VB.NET coding skills
Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
Familiarity with IIS configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting
Working knowledge of Git source control
Ability to work independently and manage full‑stack responsibilities

Nice to Haves

Experience with SQL Agent automation and Microsoft SQL DB
Knowledge of AWS cloud platforms for database, application, and API hosting
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
React front‑end experience
Experience with REST API development best practices
Compliance experience and familiarity with security best practices for databases and web applications

Database Architecture & Performance

Design and optimize T‑SQL, indexing, and schemas; tune queries and execution plans; troubleshoot deadlocks and resource issues to keep mission‑critical systems performant and available.

Full‑Stack .NET Development

Maintain and build ASP.NET applications and components in C# or VB.NET, perform code reviews, refactoring, and debugging, and collaborate with stakeholders to turn requirements into reliable solutions.

API Design & Integration

Develop and document RESTful APIs with secure authentication (JWT/OAuth2/API keys), build scalable endpoints for internal and external integrations, and troubleshoot API performance and latency.
